As always, it has been a big year for the automotive industry, and the VACC MotorTech team has been assisting hard-working technicians on the tools by providing the information they need to fix more cars faster. There have been many updates to our system and information in 2025 as follows.
VACC MotorTech Usage
Our online platform, VACC Motortech, had 911,000 user logins in 2025, and our phone-based VACC TechAdvisory Service serviced 44,919 enquiries with information from our online resources, workshop manuals, and other resources available in our Technical Library.
New Features
2025 also saw the introduction of major enhancements, including VRM (Rego) lookup to help you find information faster. Since its launch in May 2025, 89,000 searches have been made. In November, our EV data subscription option became available to service the growing number of hybrid and electric vehicles on Australian roads.
TechTalk
There were 76 articles written across the eleven issues of VACC’s TechTalk in 2025, covering a wide range of topics. The most popular category of article is “Component Replacement Procedures”, which are used to fill the gaps in VACC MotorTech’s data coverage. Next were articles on “Common Faults” based on feedback we have received from our members and subscribers, which could save hours in diagnostic time. Followed by “Diagnostic Hints and Tips” and the “System Overview” articles, which assist you in understanding how these vehicle systems work and then repairing them when they go wrong.
Information Updates
Our HaynesPro data expanded in all three major databases—Car, Truck, and Motorcycle—with thousands of new manuals, vehicle types, electrical data, technical specifications, and smart procedures. There have also been updates to vehicles already in the HaynesPro dataset to enhance coverage with additional specifications, procedures, and wiring diagrams.

The VACC MotorTech Advantage
VACC’s Technical Department is continually improving the services we provide to our subscribers, and VACC MotorTech offers some unique advantages compared to other automotive data providers in the Australian market. There are many other organisations that sell HaynesPro data; however, we have a few extra things.
- First, an Australia-based phone service, staffed by automotive industry-experienced advisors who attend regular training sessions to stay up to date with the latest information. This service lets you call someone who understands your technical problems and helps you get the information you need.
- The second advantage is VACC’s TechTalk magazine, which helps quickly fill information gaps. This allows the VACC’s Technical Department to publish service, repair, and diagnostic articles relevant to the Australian market, which HaynesPro may not cover until later updates. We also publish service schedules for many new and current models to assist members if the vehicle owners don’t want their new vehicle services performed within the dealership network.
- The third advantage is depth of coverage. VACC has a long history of providing automotive information to the Australian market. Over the years, we have compiled one of the largest automotive libraries known, full of workshop manuals and other reference material. Many online databases cover only common specifications and procedures, whereas the OE manuals in our library include complete tear-downs and rebuilding procedures for engines, transmissions, final drives and many other components. We can also help cross-reference information to address grey imports in the New Zealand market.
We have hardcover manuals for most vehicles sold in the Australian market from the early 1920s to the mid-2010s. With one phone call to VACC’s Technical Advisory Service, we can send you the information you need within minutes.
VACC MotorTech is more than just another reseller of Haynes information; we can quickly fill data gaps in response to requests from our subscribers across Australia and New Zealand. We also give our subscribers the ability to talk to a local who can help them find the information they need, whether it’s online or sitting on a shelf in our library.
